Hot on the heels of Maison Barnes in New York last May, helmed by Michelin-starred chef Daniel Boulud, and Maison Boissière in Paris, luxury hotel apartments in the 16th arrondissement, the French company recently opened UN Moment Barnes in Mougins. A new-era real estate agency concept heralded as the first in a long series, inviting you to enjoy a range of experiences, from gourmet dining to wine and art, bringing together all Barnes’passions in a single setting dedicated to Art de Vivre. This new, convivial, informal space, set in a beautiful Southern-style property, promotes French Art de Vivre to Barnes clients, but not exclusively. The venue features private lounges available for hire, a fine wine and cheese cellar, a bookshop offering a selection of books in partnership with Editions Assouline, an art gallery showcasing emerging artists, and a restaurant opening onto a beautifully landscaped garden, all open to outside visitors and consumers. Pick and choose with relish from an array of small, convivial dishes – Extremadura Bellota Bellota ham, milk-fed veal tartare, sea bream ceviche, homemade potato purée with truffles, matured beef and many other carefully selected products – served on the vast shady terrace before starting a game of pétanque. Some ten UN Moment Barnes are due to open worldwide in the coming months as part of Barnes Hospitality’s ongoing expansion.
