“When I was a child I was fascinated by a magician on the television, who made a scarf disappear in his hand. I went to bed holding a scarf in my hand in the hope it would disappear overnight. It was still there the next morning so I figured I'd never be a magician!” But William Watt did become a magician. “I studied marketing but later read a book that opened my eyes, called "Decide to be Happy", and took two years out figuring what I really wanted to do with my life. Making magic was the answer!” And William has proved extremely gifted at it. In 2011 he won the French magician's cup then the following year the championship. He has been accepted into the exclusive club of the world's 250 best close-up magicians (close-up magic is when tricks and illusions are performed literally under the spectator's nose), has been awarded the titles of Bachelor of Magic, Master of Magic and, last year, the coveted Doctor of Magic, and has achieved the supreme
accolade of membership of the Magic Castle club in Los Angeles. In addition to his technical skills, William is also a skilled mentalist, meaning he can read your thoughts – yes, really!
