What about local business needs and skills?
“There are training and recruitment problems whatever the business sector. So, identifying needs and developing quality training to match them is imperative as this will bring in talent. I would also like to use open days to invite young people to UPE06 members. Business needs should be a place where a young person can thrive and contribute to economic development and ecology. It must be involved in the evolution of society.
What are your corporate social responsibility objectives?
“We are fortunate to be one of the sunniest regions in France, and it is an aberration to see so few photovoltaic panels. I want to create a property company under UPE06 governance, which could buy roofs, invest, and resell. We could start an investment fund to facilitate the takeover of companies by their employees. A dynamic economy allows municipalities to improve the living environment and invest in a varied cultural offer. The Côte d ‘Azur has a powerful image that is unparalleled.
How do you see the relationship between the UPE06 and local communities?
“It is not up to politicians to make decisions in this sector, and we must take back leadership! To date, UPE06 has nearly 1,000 direct members and, together with trade unions, this represents more than 9,000 people. Our region includes about 100,000 businesses making us one of the most representative unions. I want to bring this new dynamic to make our region truly shine.”
