Doisneau’s black and white photos of post-war Paris and its suburbs have become classics. With his camera slung over his shoulder, Doisneau was able to capture the essence of daily life, blending surprise, humour and nostalgia, while always keeping a distance from his subjects. Designed in partnership with the Atelier Robert Doisneau, the exhibition brings together 110 images by the famous humanist photographer. We are led through the streets of the capital, where we come across shots such as Le Baiser de l’Hôtel de Ville and Mademoiselle Anita, along with large montages that foreshadow the installations he created later, and a reportage shot in the middle of the Colorado desert that hails modernity.
