This autumn Guillaume de Tonge is promising some surprises from the de Tonge workshops. They’ll be crafting new all-modular bookcases and for dining tables employing new stain-resistant patinas that nonetheless conserve the wood’s natural look. The textiles follow the trends by adopting "relief" effects, as in a faux-tweed chiné grey velvet by Coco used to upholster an ultra-chic sofa in which you just long to curl up. But the de Tonge knowhow is most evident in the crafting of bespoke items ranging from furniture to walk-in closets, in response to a growing demand. The family firm is certainly consolidating its totally individual style of "southern French charm"!
