Van Cleef & Arpels

  • Un vent de poésie souffle à Cannes

 VCA 1
La nouvelle adresse cannoise reste fidèle à une tradition de 1906, quand Van Cleef & Arpels ouvre sa première boutique place Vendôme, à Paris, imposant alors son univers poétique auprès des élégantes et des élégants.

After the Hôtel Majestic, the Paris jeweller has openeda new shop on the Croisette, at n° 17. Let's visit.

Van Cleef & Arpels's treasures of fine jewellery and watchmaking simply dazzle in this wonderful retail space at the entrance to the Gray d’Albion hotel, a spectacular showcase benefiting from the Riviera's famed light, thanks to 11 windows displaying its most beautiful creations. The décor for the 215m2 store was conceived as harmonies of patterns and textures, with art deco-inspired gold-tinged wall panelling confronting sprays of opaline flowers. In the intimate salons, customers settle comfortably into armchairs set around coffee tables. Powdery colours, gold-leaf walls, wood, velvet, marble, silk, contouring, glass cloches and crystal chandeliers create a perfect décor, as in a private home, for being in the moment.

Seven Seas or the sirens' call
The experience reaches its culmination in a confidential lounge bathed in that same harmony of light and materials. Among the loveliest pieces, the ones in the new fine jewellery collection christened Seven Seas are a veritable incitement to travel, transporting us from peaceful shores to endless oceans – Adriatic to Mediterranean, Atlantic to Indian Ocean. The theme has allowed the artisans to work with curves and subtly sheened stones – sapphires, cultured pearls, turquoise, lapis lazuli – in pretty shades of blue.
