It has become one of the most desirable avenues on the French Riviera. Today, Park Avenue is home to the Zimmerman brand, which is opening its seventh French boutique on Avenue de Suède.
Inspired by the cult film "Picnic at Hanging Rock," the current collection plays on a tension between romance and mystery. Cascading maxi dresses in dark snake prints, dramatic silhouettes in billowing chiffon, cream and peach tones that turn to an ominous moss green. Crocheted lace rubs shoulders with urban denim, lace capes catch the light, while floral embroidery haunts oversized leather jackets.
The space designed by Studio McQualter also plays this contrast card: raw concrete that interacts with a monumental tapestry by the artist Georgia Bisley, a spiral metal staircase that leads to a secret mezzanine for private fittings. A decor that transforms each visit to the boutique into a mysterious little experience. Enough to reawaken the desire for back-to-school shopping...
