Jean Imbert, celebrity chef of the new culinary generation and friend of celebrities in other fields, has just unveiled his version of the Palme d’Or, the noted gourmet restaurant at the Hôtel Martinez. The atmosphere is 100% retro Riviera film world. The swish and stylish lacquered wood décor takes you back to a 1930s yacht interior. Jean Imbert, the captain of the ship, pays homage to the riches of the Mediterranean, going back to honest maritime basics, raw or woodfire grilled on the spot. He got hooked on cinema when working in kitchens during the Cannes Film Festival; his very own Palme d’Or is his dream come true.
