This excellent bakery in the Mozart neighbourhood just opened in May. Mongia, who is passionate about her work, makes delicate, exquisitely presented petits fours based on Middle Eastern desserts. The little cakes in the form of shells or flowers are made on site from high-quality products and have the delicate taste of almonds, pistachios, Aleppo pine seeds or honey. Here we find the classics like gazelle horns, makroudh, and baklava, as well as the bakery’s own caramel-flavoured creations. You can serve these petits fours at home with a traditional mint tea that Mongia makes to perfection, or surprise guests at your events with platters of the pastries.
