The Gombrowicz museum expands

In Vence, Galerie Chave is running a series of exhibitions going back over its 75 years of promoting Côte d’Azur artists, until 23 April. Meanwhile a whole new section of display space has opened in Villa Alexandrine, a beautiful Belle Epoque villa whose first floor is devoted to the town’s own artists. The museum on the second floor, devoted to the Polish writer Witold Gombrowicz, has been enlarged. Gombrowicz lived in the Villa with his wife Rita from 1964 to his death in 1969.
