Picasso, the end of the beginning

2023 marks the 50^th anniversary of the Cubist master’s death. So the museum, housed in the Château Grimaldi, where he had a studio, looks at the vivacity of his work in his final years, with its vivid colours, large formats, bullfighters, and musketeers. He made it a point of honour to try everything without starting over and liked to say, “every day I do worse”.
