You can now visit a reconstruction of the Villa Masséna, which houses the museum, in the Metaverse. The public can find an overview of exhibitions and cultural activities in the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis with avatars. While waiting in the real world, the museum is this season hosting Tom Wesselmann’s Great American Nudes series from the 60s. The American pop artist found a choice reference in Matisse’s work regarding visual efficiency and image saturation. It’s an influence perceptible even in the Sunset Nudes from the noughties.
