There’s something new in the bastioned fortification, which houses sculptor Antoniucci Volti’s donation and the Goetz-Boumeester collection, including pieces by Picabia and Hartung. Five artists from the Eva Vautier gallery have been invited to the Saint-Elme Chapel this spring to exhibit their works on the theme of the power of the sacred feminine: Natasha Lesueur’s series devoted to Latino muse Carmen Miranda, Anne-Laure Wuillai’s seawater powder landscapes, Caroline Rivalan’s dramatisation of Professor Charcot’s patients, Frédérique Nalbandian’s the pink column principle and Mona Barbagli’s glass axes.
