Dedicated to Julien Prévieux, a major figure in the contemporary art scene (winner of the 2014 Marcel Duchamp Prize), the exhibition “Unreasonable Reasons” highlights the issues, flaws and absurdities of a world controlled by “intelligent” machines.
A key figure in the contemporary art scene, Julien Prévieux champions a multidisciplinary practice driven by a playful vision of social critique. His work is regularly exhibited in art centers and museums, both in France and abroad, and features prominently in public and private collections.
As a keen observer of the contemporary world and our behaviors, the artist is particularly interested in the impact of technological revolutions on our societies and their hold on individual and collective bodies. His practice intersects with the visual arts, the
performance, computer science, artificial intelligence, and choreography. Particularly diverse, her works often appropriate the vocabulary, mechanisms, and operating methods of the sectors of activity they explore in order to better reveal their strategies.

The exhibition “Unreasonable Reasoning” examines language systems as structures of power, regulation, and meaning production, through two fields of application: spatial activities on the one hand and artificial intelligence on the other. The exhibition will combine a retrospective and prospective dimension.
