Gérard Gasiorowski, Homage to Manet, 1983

Hating modern art, Gérard Gasiorowski didn't need to talk about his painting. It spoke for him. Following the previous exhibition dedicated to the artist in the summer of 2012, the Foundation is once again honoring the French painter and photographer, on the 40th anniversary of his death. Among the pieces to be rediscovered are nine works from his permanent collection, including...Homage to Manet, a ten-meter-long painting, and smaller-format creations. As a reminder, it was at the Maeght Gallery that the artist first exhibited in 1982. I am certain that Gasiorowski's creation will find its place perfectly. I cannot explain it. During her lifetime, I defended her work, and I continue to do so. It's not easy, because it's a work of incredible dexterity, yet the author struggles against that very talent. " says his longtime partner Adrien Maeght.

Until June 14, 2026. Every day from 10am to 18pm.
