Nice didn't yet have its Matsuri. The brand has just opened in Place Grimaldi, in a retro 70s decor inspired by the maritime world.
Designed by architect Jessica Mille, the restaurant reinterprets the design of a Riva boat: varnished and lacquered wooden walls treated like a hull, punctuated by chrome-plated stainless steel portholes.
On the menu, you'll find both classic dishes (sashimi, tataki, salmon and avocado California rolls, skewers, and gyoza) and the restaurant's signature creations: nori tacos, sashizza, onigiri, hot bento boxes, ramen, and udon noodles enhanced with smoky shichimi. For a sweet treat at any time, the Matsu Café corner offers matcha lattes, ube lattes, lattes, or hot chocolate, accompanied by pastries.
