For over a century, the mandolin has been making Marseille vibrate. It was here that in 1922, Laurent Fantauzzi, Italian musician, opens the first mandolin class in the world at the Conservatory, praised by the Neapolitan virtuoso Raffaele Calace.
This shared passion between Marseille and Naples is at the heart of the Mandol'in Marseille Festival 2025, an event that celebrates the mandolin in all its forms. Concerts, musical creations, and big names from the international scene will punctuate this edition focused on Italy. Highlights include: "Sore", "Operation Sultan", "La Dolce Vita", or "Spartenza", as well as an exceptional concert bringing together 100 mandolins around the famous accordionist Richard GallianoA unique musical event, combining Mediterranean traditions and contemporary creations, which confirms Marseille as the essential capital of the mandolin.
