Breitling
What's on the wrists of today's heroines?
The watchmaking business founded by Léon Breitling in 1884 is best known for its masculine timewear, but it has also been making ladies' watches since the 1940s. Now it's added a women's range to its Chronomat series.

Mathilde Lacombe et Laury Thilleman, les deux nouvelles ambassadrices françaises.

The legendary Transocean, the Lady J of the 1990s, the sophisticated, technical Galactic, the emblematic Navitimer and the sporty Superocean: all through Breitling's history there have been watches designed for women's slender wrists. Today's good news is the arrival of the brand's Spotlight Squad, a new Chronomat collection inspired by a band of active, ambitious heroines who shine by their talent but also by their advocacy for a better world. The finest examples of these messengers of peace, tolerance and generosity? Charlize Theron, who speaks out for the rights of women and the LGBTQIA community, Misty Copeland who fights for diversity, equity and inclusion in classical dance, and actress Yao Chen, who helps the disadvantaged in China and raises public awareness about the fate of refugees around the world. These inspirational women, in tune with the times, have been joined by two French ambassadors, Mathilde Lacombe, founder of the Aime cosmetics line, and Laury Thilleman, entrepreneur with her “Parisienne et Alors” brand, TV host, sportswoman and actively committed to the initiatives of Surfrider Foundation Europe, a non-profit organisation dedicated to the protection and enhancement of lakes, rivers, the ocean, waves and coastlines.

The Chronomat is the perfect watch for these women's hectic lives. Like them, it is many-sided, sporty yet elegant, laid-back yet smart, retro yet modern. COSC-certified, water-resistant to 100m depth and featuring the emblematic rouleau bracelet, it comes in 32mm and 36mm diameter versions with a wide range of cases, from steel to red gold with some two-tone variants and others decked with diamonds. With lacquered dials in ten different colours, the Chronomat Automatic 36 boasts the Breitling 10 calibre with a 42-hour power reserve, while the Chronomat 32 houses the Breitling 77 calibre, with three to four years' autonomy.
