Lucie Tissot-Lays & Ramani Chetty
Creating a new dynamic
Par Maurice Gouiran
Lucile Tissot-Lays and Ramani Chetty, chairwomen of the businesswomen’s federation Femmes Chefs d’Entreprises (FCE), Marseille and Aix-en-Provence branches, were elected in January. With the help of FCE France, Lucie Tissot-Lays aims to promote women’s entrepreneurship in the Marseille area. She wants to overcome restricted thinking and see more women running their own businesses in a spirit of mutual support and sharing. She also hopes to achieve better recognition of the federation by the region’s political and economic institutions, give permanence to the federation’s partnerships with 100,000 business owners and assist members. She means to put the federation’s focus on its members, offering training courses and practical toolboxes to help them day by day, building links among them and putting them in the limelight.
Ramani Chetty heads a financial strategy consultancy that supports SMEs. She assists business owners in their quest for performance while making sure their goals concord with their values. So she often meets businesswomen who are actively promoting women’s entrepreneurship. She thinks a woman business owner is doubly successful: she manages her business and also has financial responsibility for it. Ramani Chetty aims to actively support women entrepreneurs and leave a legacy that will inspire future generations.
