Mention their first names and you’ll know right away that the pair are related! Jany, the father, and Jane, the daughter, together produce Michelin-star cuisine, continuing a legacy that goes back three generations.
To get to the Relais & Châteaux La Bonne Etape in Château-Arnoux-Saint-Auban, you take the Alpes de Haute-Provence road and arrive at the perfect location to get away from it all and relax for a while. And the kitchens run like clockwork. There’s a generation gap, but Jane confesses that she’s more likely to laugh at any disagreements, adding that she’s in awe of the creativity and passion which still fuel her father’s work. Their new book “Cuisine provençale d’aujourd’hui” [Contemporary Provençale cooking] celebrates this special relationship and shares with readers their joy of cooking together. They have pooled their talents to compile a collection of 40 delicious gourmet recipes with anecdotes about everything they share and have learnt from each other.
