The Cézanne Route, which leads from Aix-en-Provence to Le Tholonet, has long captivated artists. Made legendary by the father of modern art, Paul Cézanne, it was the first to be listed as a heritage site by André Malraux in 1959. It has certainly inspired Christophe Bukudjian, the festival's founder and Artistic Director. For its 5rd edition, which will establish a dialogue between its musical programming and the major Cézanne 2025 exhibition presented at the Musée Granet, Les Musicales de la route Cézanne will offer nine events from July 21 to 28, 2025. This year, Les Musicales de la route Cézanne are in tune with the major international event " Cézanne 2025 " for which numerous events honor the painter. In this context, the festival offers to rediscover the places that inspired the master of modern art through concerts at Tholonet Castle and Saint-Joseph Jesuit Estate that he painted or even at Granet Museum which this year presents a huge retrospective – event. Among the eclectic artistic proposals that will be presented, we note the festival's commission made to Bruno Mantovani for the creation of a work for piano linked to four paintings by Cézanne exhibited at the Granet Museum. This new edition promises to once again offer curious and passionate minds unique moments of sharing just a stone's throw from the Montagne Sainte-Victoire.
