Focusing on adventure and tech
With the creation of the Sustainability Hub, a themed exhibition dedicated to adventure, and the expansion of the Yacht Design & Innovation Hub, the 2022 edition offers plenty of innovations to attract the new generation of boaters.

Au prochain MYS, les designers partageront leurs expertises sur les tendances actuelles et futures mais aussi les solutions innovantes.
L’objectif du Monaco Yacht Show est d’offrir une immersion complète dans le superyachting.
For more than a year, Monaco Yacht Show’s roadmap has been to support the industry in redefining the yachting experience to attract a younger generation of boaters. And to reach this customer base, which is reinventing luxury with a more epicurean vision, and which values freedom over the need to own, the leading superyacht show continues to innovate with each edition. In 2022, MYS will inaugurate a new exhibition space dedicated to companies specialising in technological solutions aimed at reducing the carbon footprint of superyachts. Occupying more than 200 sqm in the Darse Sud, the Sustainability Hub is a real incubator for companies offering existing and innovative green solutions, along with new startups working on alternative green projects adapted to yachting, selected in partnership with the Water Revolution Foundation. “When MYS partnered with Carbon Neutral in 2005, and in 2010 began supporting projects to protect the environment spearheaded by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, our goal was to raise environmental awareness in a yachting industry that was barely beginning to develop a “green ethos” at the time. Our pioneering approach to organising the show in terms of sustainable development, which we started 18 years ago, now extends to a new dedicated exhibition at MYS,” explains Gaëlle Tallarida, the event’s managing director.
A UNIQUE VISITOR EXPERIENCE
Also new for 2022 is the extension of the Yacht Design & Innovation Hub that will incorporate exhibitors from the historic Designer Gallery exhibition. By merging these two spaces, MYS wishes to offer the next generation of private yacht owners “a unique visitor experience in the world of superyacht design”. Visitors will find more than 25 designers on the stands along the Virage Chiron and in the 200-sqm exhibition tent. They will also be able to attend some twenty talks hosted in collaboration with MYS media partner SuperYacht Times, in the brand new 100-sqm conference room on the first floor. Designers will share their expertise on current and future trends, innovative design solutions and eco-responsible yachting projects.
Finally, there will be an exhibition dedicated to exploration and leisure activities on board yachts, spread over two sites in Port Hercule, Quai Antoine I and Quai Jarlan. The Adventure Area will present a wide selection of sports activities, tenders for day trips, luxury and all-terrain vehicles, nautical toys, hi-tech gadgets, helicopters and tailored itineraries to explore the most isolated destinations on the planet. The aim is to show visitors the full range of experiences yachting has to offer; these include driving an all-terrain vehicle at the North Pole, going on an underwater excursion, taking a tender around paradise islands, private tours of historical and cultural sites in coastal destinations, viewing animal species – while respecting their ecosystem – and even taking part in scientific research during a charter.
