A breath of freedom is blowing along the Boulevard de la Libération: Komu49 has just opened, and this hybrid place has everything to become one of the most endearing haunts in the 13001. Imagined by Anne-Charlotte and Marie, two close friends and treasure hunters at heart, the space mixes vintage decor, free creation, gourmet food and local culture in a deeply warm and uninhibited atmosphere CP La Komu 49 (1).
Here, every piece of furniture tells a story: 80% of the stock is sourced in the Charente region before being restored or given a makeover in Marseille. You can browse, explore, and fall under the spell of unique objects given a second life. You can also settle in at cup bar, enjoy a tea in vintage dishes, share a homemade cake and chat with the founders — a true neighborhood lounge where conviviality reigns supreme.
Starting in December, the DIY workshop will open its doors: a space to learn, tinker, imagine, and experiment together, in a decor-conscious and ultra-inspiring spirit. Komu49 will also offer a vintage tableware rental service to create retro dinners or bohemian brunches at home, without buying anything.
A true living space, La Komu49 is also a living gallery which highlights Marseille-based creators and emerging artists. Among the first exhibitors: Octopus and its sparkling tufted universe, or the designer Mickaël Koska, recognized for his sculptural and elegant pieces CP La Komu 49 (1).
More than a shop, it's a philosophy: an urban refuge where the curious, the dreamers and the passionate meet — a place that makes the heart of the neighborhood beat.
