Sextant et plus at La Friche, and La Compagnie, a creative space, are teaming up to pay tribute to Marseille native Dominique Piazza, the inventor of the geographic postcard. In the era of SMS, MMS, WhatsApp, and Snapchat, artists from all walks of life are revisiting the fundamentals of exchange and communication. Texts, images, sounds, and installations intersect to express the miracle of remote presence. Live or recorded, knowledge, information, winks, and emotions are transmitted through techniques, codes, and references.
