Three days of music, gastronomy, crafts and encounters facing the Mediterranean: in June 2026, Marseille hosts a new event that celebrates the historical links between the Phocaean city and the Isle of Beauty.
Marseille and Corsica have always shared much more than just a sea crossing. A shared history, ongoing exchanges, a Mediterranean way of life, and generations of families who have built bridges between the two shores. It is this unique relationship that we wish to celebrate. ISULA Festival, a new cultural event conceived by Audrey Lucchinacci and the team of Guitar Sounds.
From June 7th to 9th, 2026, the esplanade of the Major Cathedral will be transformed into a showcase of contemporary Corsican culture. For three days, music, gastronomy, crafts, heritage, and the economy will come together in a spirit of openness and sharing. It's a way to present a vibrant, creative, and decidedly modern Corsica, far removed from stereotypes.
The choice of location was no accident. Dominated by the majestic silhouette of the Major Cathedral and facing the sea, the esplanade is located just steps from the Old Port, the historic arrival point for thousands of Corsicans who came to settle in Marseille. A symbolic setting for an event that aims to become an unmissable annual gathering.
The festival will open with a grand, intergenerational day dedicated to island traditions. A banquet, tastings, crafts, traditional games, and concerts will punctuate this immersion in the Corsican way of life. The following day will focus on exchange and knowledge sharing with economic meetings, roundtables dedicated to tourism, innovation, and health, culminating in a networking dinner bringing together institutional stakeholders and entrepreneurs from both regions.
Monday evening will also be a highlight with a mass celebrated at the Major Cathedral by the cardinal François BustilloBishop of Ajaccio, in the presence of the Corsican community. Finally, Tuesday will be dedicated to artistic creation before a grand closing night combining live bands, DJ sets and headline acts.
As for the lineup, several artists and collectives have already been announced, including Philippe Corti, Upsilone, Adrien Susini, Moca, Herald, Coco Pops, and Les Fugitifs. This lineup reflects the festival's desire to create a dialogue between cultural heritage and modernity.
