This somewhat hidden corner of paradise, overlooking the crystal-clear waters of the tranquil Baie d’Eze, is one of those places you’d like to keep secret. But the spot is already in all the celebs’ address books. And for a good reason! It’s magical. There’s a hint of the exotic, a spirit of Balinese cabana in shades of blue, an air of not taking itself too seriously, which nonetheless conceals Patrick Degioanni’s unfailing professionalism. The invitation to travel extends right down to the food itself. Sea bream ceviche with mango, coriander, and sweet potato crisps; Mediterranean camerones with herb butter;
or sea bass in a salt crust. All are perfectly seasoned, cooked to perfection, and bursting with flavour. The festive spirit takes hold of Anjuna at the weekend, with afternoons punctuated by top-quality music.
