La Javanaise

La Javanaise, which opened just last June, embodies a declaration of love for the Mediterranean, its culture, and its people. It’s a love song immortalised by Serge Gainsbourg and Juliette Gréco, a journey of initiation, a touch of Indonesia transplanted here. But above all, it’s the story of a friendship forged under the Côte d’Azur sky, of five friends – including footballer Hugo Lloris – determined to celebrate the Mediterranean. The exotic, eclectic décor, with its sandy tones, monochrome wallpaper, birds of paradise and central tree, is a genuine invitation to get away from it all. The menu, by 3 Michelin-starred chef Blondet (Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester), offers emotional, sharing cuisine, including octopus carpaccio and other finger foods with a Southern accent.
