Castel is THE beach in Nice, known and loved by locals, Parisians, and tourists alike. The warm, multi-faceted atmosphere, retro-chic arty decor, and mix of antiques and works by artists from the Ecole de Nice - César, Sosno, Moya, Ben and more - make it a great place to visit. Ali, one of the city’s most emblematic figures, and his daughter Chemsy welcome you with sincerity and generosity. Views over the Baie des Anges and its immediate surroundings are unrivalled. The restaurant serves fresh, gourmet cuisine: Mediterranean sea bream ceviche with citrus fruit, red radish, coriander and chilli pepper, Rock octopus fricassee with chorizo, tomato and fresh chilli pepper, and Linguini with truffle and pink lobster. Les Bains du Castel, nestling in the rock and overlooking the water, is this year’s new culinary offering dedicated to the sea and Mediterranean riches, sublimated by chef Antonio di Michele.
