Dialogues with the diamond: Op art between yesterday and tomorrow

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the diamond shape, the Vasarely Foundation brings together three artists who reinvent the optical and geometric legacy of the master: Olivier Swiz, Sébastien Preschoux, and Arthur Dorval. All of them explore this emblematic shape, which has become both a symbol of Renault's identity and a central element of Vasarely's "plastic alphabet."

The exhibition holds an exceptional surprise: the opening of Victor Vasarely's personal office, usually closed to the public. An immersive installation unfolds there, a kaleidoscope of shapes, volumes, and colors, like a transgenerational dialogue with the artist. Further on, three large black and white polyptychs, set in motion by a video projection, reinterpret the perceptual game so dear to the pioneer of Op Art and Kinetic Art. Finally, each of the artists transforms the Foundation's monumental galleries with sculptures that resonate directly with the architecture of the space.

Dialogues with the diamond This revives a vision that is still relevant today: that of an accessible, dynamic art, capable of transforming our living spaces.
