A stone's throw from Place Castellane, Léon House has just opened its doors. More than a café or a brunch spot, it is a life project carried by Maëva Gravouil, former pastry chef of Petit Nice Passedat, and Jeffrey Marecaille, self-taught mixologist. Vendeans of origin, together they create a place in their image, both intimate and daring. The concept is radical : everything starts from the croissant dough, worked in all its forms to compose snacks, pastries/Viennese pastries or even savory dishes for the weekend. Because yes, if during the week snacking is the law, on the weekend real dishes are offered on the menu, like a crispy palace-style club or regressive ham croissants. The weekly menu changes regularly, that of the brunch, reinvented every weekend. To drink, mocktails to match the plates, designed by Jeffrey as true culinary creations. Infusions, homemade syrups, prepared fruits... Each drink dialogues with the dishes, right down to the cherry mocktail called “Petit Léon”, with a nod to their son: “Our son’s favorite fruit is the cherry, and when I see people’s lips turn red while drinking this mocktail, I immediately think of him, hence the name.” Even the Lattes are shaken like cocktails. "We want to offer a complete experience, but not only that. Of course, I create mocktails of Maëva's culinary inspirations. But you can also come to Maison Léon to enjoy a flan (with croissant dough as a base, of course!) accompanied by a latte and your PC to work," says Jeffrey. About fifteen places inside, a sunny terrace, and two weekends a month, the place transforms into local scene with DJ on the decks, live from the kitchen. "You come to Maison Léon, you come to us. We didn't just set up shop to succeed, but to bring a carefully considered project to fruition," smiles Maëva.
