Reconciling economic performance and collective interest
With nearly 170 members, from major brands to business creators, the Energia collective intends to create a virtuous circle by playing the game of collaboration.
Some prefer to keep the keys to their success to themselves, not sharing their contacts. Others, on the contrary, choose the complete opposite approach, focusing on mutual support and the potential dynamism of a collective approach. This is the mentality championed by the unassuming Energia collective. "There wasn't a business club in Nice. So three years ago, a group of executives and I wanted to create an association that reflected our values, founded on six core principles," explains Claire Peradotto*. Every week, the president of the collective—who is also co-manager of Peradotto Publicité, a company located in the Var plain—appears on screen in the... Go Boost which she hosts for the association. Express interviews, in a 1 minute 30 second format, to gather advice from local economic players. With 135,000 views for the first videos posted on social media, they encourage young people eager to start their own businesses to take the plunge.
An organized and well-paced roundtable discussion
"Mutual support and solidarity are the first pillar of our group; we therefore ask our members to participate in Codev“Every month, we help a company, young or old, in difficulty or not, by getting together around a table. It gives amazing results and by offering 1.5 hours of their time, everyone benefits,” enthuses Claire, who was trained in these methods 10 years ago in Paris.
These sessions, reflecting the diversity of entrepreneurship, attract large companies with over 200 employees, as well as individuals looking to launch their own businesses. "Besides kindness—a word that's certainly overused, but important to emphasize—and authenticity, because it's crucial to be reliable and do what you say, our fourth pillar is responsibility, working for the planet. Otherwise, what kind of world will we leave to our children? I co-manage Peradotto Publicité with my brother, and we each have children. So my dream is that we'll be able to pass this company on to them."
Art, philosophy… beyond economics
The two other values championed by Energia are equality and sharing. Claire adds: “Frankly, it’s rare that you work well with someone you dislike. It’s better to surround yourself with people who share your values; that’s what makes you want to continue. When you see what’s happening in the world, I sincerely believe that the human factor will once again become paramount. This association allows us to meet and truly get to know each other.” Among other events, the collective organizes monthly social gatherings. WowSometimes they're discovering flowers at the Diptyque perfume store in Cap 3000, other times they're learning about the latest financing laws at EY (Ernst & Young). And let's not forget cultural outings: "The goal is for members of the collective to organize and lead each activity, but also to create synergies where everyone brings their expertise."
