On July 11th, the Villa Kérylos, a historic monument nestled between the cliffs of Èze and the port of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, will host its very first auction. The Rossini auction house is establishing this annual event, destined to become a fixture on the Riviera's summer calendar.
Approximately 400 lots will be on display for two days within the villa's permanent collections. Jewelry sets the tone: Van Cleef & Arpels, Boucheron, Mauboussin, Pomellato, Lalaounis, and Dinh Van, alongside Art Deco and 19th-century pieces. Watches are also well represented with Cartier, Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Omega, Piaget, and Chopard. In the leather goods category, Hermès (Kelly and Herbag) leads the way, with pieces from Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Goyard, and Dior.
Note that there will be two free lectures on July 9th and 10th at 11:00 AM, led by Parisian experts Drew Battaglia (jewelry), Nicolas Amsellem (watchmaking), and Maxime Charron (historical memorabilia). There will also be a free public exhibition on the two days preceding the sale, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
