Caumont-Centre d'Art presents, until March 22, 2026, an exhibition tracing the evolution of French painting through 60 masterpieces from the collection of Oscar Ghez, founder of the Musée du Petit Palais in Geneva.
Formed from the 1950s onwards, this collection is distinguished by bold choices, often going against the grain of its time, highlighting artists who are now essential and giving remarkable prominence to figures, portraits and women artists.

From the Impressionist movement to the avant-garde of the 20th century, the exhibition brings into dialogue Caillebotte, Bazille, Vallotton, Dufy, Suzanne Valadon, Tamara de Lempicka, and Cubist works, revealing a sensitive and engaged interpretation of art history. A dense and captivating exhibition, driven by an independent vision, offering a unique panorama of more than half a century of pictorial creation.
