A day to reinvent Vasarely

On May 9th, the Vasarely Foundation in Aix-en-Provence will break free from its usual confines. From 16 pm to midnight, the institution will transform into a vibrant stage for Vasarely Experience, an evening conceived with the association SAISON.404 which brings the optical legacy of the Master into dialogue with the living arts of today.

On the program: a continuous live street art performance by ARAMINE x AMSTED on a mining vehicle, 35 choir members from Dalida Institute who reinterpret protest songs under the baton of Victor Jacob (conductor of the Paris Opera Youth Orchestra), and a choreographic creation of Lucie Domenach and Lou Orblin with the Grenade group, born from a residency in Los Angeles with the Villa Albertine.

The evening then heats up with an alternative rock concert, DJ sets and a festive village with a bar and local food trucks.

An event faithful to Vasarely's utopia: art for all, vibrant, collective and in color.
