Three evenings, 26 stalls, and all the best of Provence on a street food plate. From June 18th to 20th, Parc Jourdan transforms into a playground for food lovers, when the Street Food Festival returns for a second Aix edition even more ambitious than the first, which brought together nearly 20,000 visitors last year.
The idea is simple and successful: to bring together restaurateurs, brewers, winemakers, and ice cream makers from the Bouches-du-Rhône region in one place, all centered around street food rooted in local traditions. This year, half the exhibitors are newcomers: panisses and chichis-frégis, barbajuans, local fish, Camargue street food cooked on the barbecue, revisited Marseilles specialties, and even a vegetarian and inclusive table making its first appearance. Winemakers from La Coste, Romanin, Paradis, and Domaine Attilon are providing the wine, while several Provençal craft breweries are catering to those with a more beer-forward appetite.
The atmosphere, however, will be ensured by DJ Moussa From 18 p.m. to midnight, every evening. And to ensure no one is left behind, the festival has created a space this year that is truly adapted for people with disabilities, with wheelchairs available for loan, priority access, and sensory devices. On Friday the 19th, a "Festival of the Senses" will even offer an original immersive experience, developed in partnership with the Granet Museum. Free entry—it's the most generous festival of the summer.
