Until February 15, 2026, the Les Élancées festival marks its 28th edition and deploys the arts of gesture in 6 municipalities of the western metropolitan area: Istres, Fos-sur-Mer, Miramas, Grans, Cornillon-Confoux and Port Saint-Louis-du-Rhône. Circus, dance, magic, physical theatre… For nearly two weeks, the territory vibrates to the rhythm of contemporary creations where the body becomes language, narrative and poetry.
With 21 companies guests, 67 performances including 26 dedicated to young school children, and nearly 150 artists and technicians With everyone involved, the 2026 edition confirms the scale of an event that brings together nearly 15,000 spectators each year. Seven new productions are on the program, including WOLF, Between Dogs and Wolves (room version) Madame Muscle's Lover, Eclipse, Five versions of Don Juan, Pacific Square or, Motionless.
Among the highlights, two big tops will also be set up in Istres and Miramas: Made in Finland, a wild circus satire performed by seven Finnish artists, and Hourvari From the Rasposo company, a sensitive whirlwind between circus and theatre. The festival also embraces its international opening with the acrobatic power of the Australian company Circa (WOLF), the South African energy of Zip Zap Circus (Moya), or the musical juggling in a truck-theatre by the Flemish company Post Uit Hessdalen (BallroomRegional artists are not to be outdone, with contemporary dance, hip-hop, magic and hybrid forms.
True to its commitment, Les Élancées places arts education at the heart of the project, with a focus onDance and the child"and numerous actions carried out with schools. A way of affirming that the gesture, before being a performance, is a tool for transmission and sharing.
