For one weekend, three secret gardens in Aix-en-Provence are transformed into open-air scenesFor their 20th edition, the Flâneries d'Art Contemporain return on June 20 and 21 with a program that mixes, as usual, the best of visual arts and live performance, but this year, the anniversary is being celebrated in a big way.

Led by actress Andréa Ferréol, these free events bring together 16 people at the Jardin Mérindol, the Jardin des Étuves and the Jardin des Guerriers. visual artists, painters, sculptors, ceramists, illustratorsAmong them are the legendary photographer Peter Knapp and the street artist M. Chat, whose famous orange feline continues to conquer walls around the world. Between artworks, one might encounter David Foenkinos, who will be reading his texts, Samuel Labarthe and Pierre Santini, who will be giving voice to the correspondence between Clemenceau and Monet, or the Preljocaj ballet, whose GUID will be performing in the Jardin des Guerriers on Saturday evening.

Music flows from one garden to another all weekend long: piano, violin, clarinets, harp, soprano saxophone—a continuous score that transforms the stroll into something magical. And for younger audiences, a special show is planned for Sunday morning.

A gentle yet demanding way to start the summer.
