The best food spots of the summer are at Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann

The rooftop terrace of Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann is more than ever one of the capital's finest gourmet destinations. For lunch and dinner, chef Julien Sebbag has created Balcon, a bistro perched high above the city that puts a summery and relaxed spin on Parisian classics: deviled eggs, leeks vinaigrette, macaroni and cheese with ham and truffle, or chocolate-pistachio profiteroles, all to be enjoyed with a view of the Parisian rooftops. To extend the experience, head to La Douce Heure, the new pop-up bar in St-Germain inspired by the French Riviera, where you can enjoy a St-Germain Spritz, elderflower ice cream, and, from 18 pm, sharing plates created by Cyril Lignac. On the menu: the Florale (crudités and its tzatziki sauce), the Fraîcheur (crudo of sea bream with elderflower, mimosa eggs with vitello sauce and a watermelon-feta duo) and finally the Douceur, a Tropézienne accompanied by a peach salad with verbena and an elderflower ice cream.
