Every summer, the former quarries of the Château du Marquis de Sade are transformed into one of the most spectacular open-air stages in Provence. Created 26 years ago by Pierre Cardin and continued today by his nephew Rodrigo Cardin, the Pierre Cardin Festival perpetuates the couturier's vision: to create a dialogue between theatre, music and dance in a unique mineral setting in the heart of the Luberon.
From July 16 to 25, this new edition brings together artists from very different backgrounds, such as Vincent Dedienne and Jean-Paul Rouve in Le Bourgeois GentilhommeSheila, the choreographer Angelin Preljocaj, and the Ballet Julien Lestel with a contemporary reinterpretation of CarmenJazz, theatre, dance, cinema and artistic discoveries follow one another for ten days, in an eclectic program faithful to the spirit imagined by Pierre Cardin: to bring together the big names of the stage and the talents of tomorrow.
