At the end of the quay, opposite the Bandol casino, the Shun Gallery blends seamlessly into the landscape. Founded by Shun Becker, from a family of collectors and art dealers, the gallery champions a clear vision: to create a dialogue between the great figures of modern art—Bernard Buffet, Georges Mathieu, César Baldaccini, Marc Chagall—and contemporary artists such as Robert Combas and Somsak Hanumas. Each work is carefully selected, with the aim of offering pieces that can find their place naturally in private collections as well as in modern interiors. In July, the gallery will dedicate an exhibition to Claude Venard, a singular figure on the post-war French art scene, whose expressive and colorful paintings are experiencing a resurgence of interest among collectors.
