Xavier Mathieu has been cooking with the flavors of the Luberon for years. He has just decided that you can also put them on your skin.
Le Phébus, perched between Gordes and Roussillon in the village of Joucas, is reopening this spring with a completely redesigned spa, the result of a collaboration with Château BergerA Marseille-based cosmetics house that focuses on combining natural active ingredients with precise application techniques. Seven hectares of garrigue, terraced fields, and olive groves form the backdrop, with a heated pool featuring massage jets, a hammam scented with eucalyptus, a Nordic bath, a sensory shower, and treatment rooms for couples. Open to both hotel guests and outside clients seeking a true escape.
The signature Château Berger treatments are at the heart of the offering: the "Sculpting and Youth in Provence" facial (75 minutes, guaranteed technical expertise and radiance), "Luberon Radiance," "Perfect Light," and "Under the Freshness of the Olive Trees" comprise a menu that is both rooted in the local terroir and focused on performance. The entire experience is orchestrated by Élodie Borgia, Spa Manager, whose attentive presence ensures a seamless transition between the wellness area and the rest of the hotel.
For those who wish to try everything in one day, Phébus offers " Luberon Delight ": a massage or facial treatment, followed by a three-course lunch at Café de la Fontaine, then free access to the facilities. A simple, and incredibly effective, equation.
