Nine evenings of open-air theatre at the foot of Notre-Dame de la Garde: the Festival at Notre-Dame de la Garde returns for its 4th edition from June 12 to 20, with a program that mixes creations, previews and great texts from the repertoire, in the most emblematic place in Marseille.
This year is Ariane ascaride who takes on the role of godmother, and not just in an honorary capacity: she herself will be on stage on June 16th with Touched by the Fairies, a one-woman show written by Marie Desplechin, an intimate account of her years of struggles and joys, already acclaimed at the 2025 Avignon Festival. A rare moment.
Around her, the program unfolds a beautiful diversity: Raspberry color Mehdi Djaadi opens the discussion with humor and humanity on the issue of infertility; The fair Camus's work questions violence and conscience; Louison and Monsieur Molière delights families; Marius Pagnol's work regains all its vitality under Jean-Philippe Daguerre's direction; and The BraggartsThe creation of the festival closes the week on a joyous note.
A major new feature of this edition: the Sermons of Marcel PagnolThe songs, performed by Vincent Fernandel, will resonate on June 16, 17 and 18 within the very walls of the Basilica. Provence finding its voice, within these walls.
Each evening, a private guided tour of Notre-Dame de la Garde precedes the performances from 18pm, a way to settle into the place before the magic happens.
