The Class of 2025: richness and diversity.

Marseille Impact Initiative

Green light for the 3rd edition!

The third edition of the Initiative Marseille Impact program, launched in 2024 by Initiative Marseille Métropole with the support of the City of Marseille, will start on March 16, 2026 with a call for applications.

The Class of 2025: richness and diversity.

This program aims to promote and coach project leaders who create social connections, reduce inequalities, offer sustainable solutions, and develop economic activity in the region. It provides them with access to thematic workshops, personalized support, interest-free loans (up to €15,000), practical exercises and concrete feedback, a network supported by meetings with specialists or masterclasses, connections to the local ecosystem, and post-program follow-up.

Twenty projects were selected in 2024 and nineteen in 2025. These latter projects, led by 27 entrepreneurs (60% men, 40% women), benefited from tailored coaching from May to November 2025, enabling them to transform their generous ideas into solid, structured, and high-impact businesses covering a wide range of sectors. Examples (this list is not exhaustive) include: a single product for all types of cleaning, an artisanal cannery dedicated to processing unsold agricultural produce, pop-up thrift stores, the production and sharing of green energy, alternative fuels derived from waste, a café-laundromat, a participatory, intergenerational shared housing project, an AI-assisted conflict resolution platform, and a dating app based on real-life compatibility.

The initial lessons learned strengthened the activities by structuring them more robustly and testing them in real-world conditions, right up to market launch. The program thus expanded from 40 hours to 141 hours of face-to-face support for project leaders. The results are more than encouraging, with a 94% success rate in creating businesses by the end of the program and significant financial coverage, with 92% of projects funded or in the process of being funded.
