Lisa Schino

At the forefront of hair care

A Twenty-eight-year-old Lisa Schino is the founding director of Lao Care, a rising startup hosted by the Villa BLU by Robertet* accelerator in Grasse, dedicated to visionary projects focused on naturalness and sustainability. Like the one led by this young entrepreneur, originally from the Grand-Est region… “Before living in Mougins, I lived in Alsace.” Very attached to her origins, she wears a mini gold and diamond pretzel around her neck! “After business school, I worked in beauty for major brands such as Chanel and L'Oréal. My last experience in dermo-cosmetics for La Roche-Posay was the trigger for my project, because I've always wanted to create restorative cosmetics, with natural active ingredients beneficial for people's health and lives.” As early as 2019, at a time when solid shampoos weren't really developed and weren't solving anything, I became interested in hair problems." Her ambition: to create good natural products, with virtuous marketing, while demystifying preconceived ideas and false promises about hair beauty. "For example, you can't moisturize hair that is dead matter, incapable of absorbing water," she explains. "On the other hand, you can regenerate it through biochemical reactions that restore keratin." Never mind! To develop her Lao Care range, launched on the market in 2021, she worked with scientists, met with experts and chemical engineers... "All these steps allowed me to obtain my first patent with a hemp-based hair product that is anti-UV, anti-pollution and repairing." Villa BLU supports her in her innovative project. “With its strong values, this structure helps me popularize the brand’s scientific data, highlight its proven performance, and also make Lao Care “desirable.” His next challenge? Improving hair growth and combating hair loss: “There again, I’m looking. I already have several leads… natural ones, of course!”
