With Incarnation , Jeanne Vicerial unveils her world in four emblematic locations in Aix-en-Provence. From the Pavillon de Vendôme to the Tapestry Museum, passing through the Chapelle de la Visitation and the Musée Granet, the artist imagines a journey where textiles leave the realm of clothing to become sculpture, silhouette, and presence. Threads, cords, and materials compose mysterious bodies, sometimes protective, sometimes unsettling or even disturbing, that question femininity, metamorphosis, and memory.
Each stage reveals a different facet of her work: a creative laboratory at the Pavillon de Vendôme, a dialogue between sewing and dance at the Tapestry Museum, an almost ritualistic procession in the Chapel of the Visitation, or even the irruption of bronze female figures among the collections of the Granet Museum. A carte blanche to be discovered like a stroll through the city, between heritage and contemporary creation.
