Impressionism: Jonathan Bertin creates a dialogue between Normandy and Seoul in Marseille

From March 19 to May 17, 2026, the Faces Gallery presents Impressionism, an exhibition by photographer Jonathan Bertin, bringing together two series produced in Normandy and Seoul.

Through these images, the artist explores photography at the boundary of painting, playing with light, blur, and color in a decidedly impressionistic approach. From the luminous and peaceful scenes of Normandy to the intense urban flows of Seoul, his works convey the same sensitive perspective on movement and time.

Underlying the exhibition, Jonathan Bertin explores the legacy of the Impressionists and imagines how their vision might capture contemporary metropolises. This exhibition, located in the heart of Marseille, creates a dialogue between territories, rhythms, and eras.
