A jazz specialist, Jacky Ananou enjoys sketching faces with a ballpoint pen. Mathieu Dutemps, a nursing assistant, is passionate about drawing with a graphite pencil. These two local artists met through several shared interests: a passion for the human figure, the hyperrealism of their work—one might mistake it for photographs when it is in fact a drawing!—and above all, countless hours of work refining their portraits. A rare, almost meditative patience, so meticulous is the pursuit of resemblance to reality. An exhibition featuring 100% hand-drawn artwork.
