The sun sets over Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, the smell of barbecues mingles with the sea air: La Plage de Passable opens its summer dinners. From the Grand Prix weekend until the beginning of September, the legendary restaurant on the peninsula transforms each evening into a live cooking stage overlooking the sea.
The concept? Wood-fired grills, with meats and fish selected according to the day's catch. We start by sharing a few appetizers (octopus salad, San Remo red prawn carpaccio, burrata with summer truffle) before diving into the evening's seasonal menu: line-caught sea bass, sea bream, wild prawns cooked on the plancha, veal Milanese cutlet with an "elephant ear" twist, or a piece of Angus beef for two. Dinner begins at 20 p.m., just in time to enjoy the sunset and extend the evening under the stars. A well-established spot, but one that's rediscovered every summer.
