DEVO: the new haven where design & Mediterranean cuisine meet

Just steps from the Palace of Justice, a new place is attracting a lot of attention: DEVO, the restaurant-bar imagined by the chef Ferdinand Fravega and shaped by the creative duo Axel & Melissa ChayA hybrid spot that blends gastronomy, aesthetics and conviviality with rare fluidity, in a setting designed as a true work of interior architecture.

DEVO isn't a static restaurant: people come for a drink on the terrace, for a refined dinner, or to extend the evening around the bar. The atmosphere evolves throughout the night—always warm, never overdone. Inside, the Chays' work is evident in every detail: raw stone, warm wood, deep lacquers, soft lighting, custom-designed furniture, and a deliberate nod to Italian cafés and Spanish bodegas. A vibrant, enveloping, almost cinematic décor that gives the place a unique personality.

At the helm of the kitchen, Ferdinand Fravega returns to a vibrant and generous MediterraneanInherited from his roots between Nice and Marseille, after honing his skills in Michelin-starred restaurants and working at Figure and Ippon, he now offers luminous, precise, and sincere dishes: fresh anchovies, tripe, stuffed vegetables, minestrone, monkfish with aioli… A signature cuisine that restores tradition to its rightful place, while revisiting it with a modern twist. The wine cellar is equally impressive: around a hundred natural and independent wines, carefully selected to complement this vibrant menu.

DEVO is a place where you instantly feel at ease, a space that speaks as much to the eye as to the palate, an already essential Marseilles haunt — sincere, timeless and deeply rooted in its era.
