For twenty years, the Design Parade reveals the talents who imagine the objects and interiors of tomorrow. Until the 30 Augustthe festival of the Villa Noailles celebrates a double anniversary – 20 years of the object design competition et 10 years of the one dedicated to interior architecture – with a more ambitious edition than ever before. For the first time, the exhibitions of both competitions are brought together at the Villa Noailles, some of whose spaces, usually closed to the public, are exceptionally opening their doors. In Hyères as in Toulon, visitors will discover the projects of twenty young creators from around the world, original installations, conferences, and meetings that make this event one of the unmissable summer events for design and architecture enthusiasts.
This anniversary edition also showcases emerging international talent with prestigious juries chaired by Laura Gonzalez for interior design and the Swedish duo Front (Sofia Lagerkvist and Anna Lindgren) for product design. Among the winning projects, Aqua Primitiva de Valentin Bayoud reinterprets the hearth as a space for contemplation around water, while Huacos of the Ecuadorian Tin Ayala This edition brings pre-Columbian ceramics into dialogue with contemporary culture. It confirms Design Parade's mission: to support emerging designers while showcasing the expertise and creativity of the Var region.
